The 121-kilometer railway project in Algeria undertaken by China Road and Bridge Corporation is a landmark flagship project under the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Algeria. It plays a milestone role in improving the railway network in eastern Algeria, boosting industrial development along the route, and enhancing local economic conditions and people’s livelihood.
Since the project kicked off in March 2025, a total of 338 various FAW trucks have been purchased for the project.FAW Jiefang always adheres to the philosophy: Create value with quality, win trust with sincerity, and deepen cooperation with reputation. It follows the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement signed between FAW Jiefang and China Communications Construction Group back in 2019, and also represents the deepening friendship between China and Algeria.Going forward, FAW Jiefang will continue to provide full-lifecycle operation maintenance, comprehensive technical support and complete after-sales service, acting as a solid and reliable partner for project construction.
Yang Xuesong expressed sincere gratitude and high recognition for FAW Jiefang’s strong support and on-time delivery. He commented that FAW vehicles feature outstanding quality and are perfectly adapted to Algeria’s harsh construction conditions such as high temperatures, drought and frequent sandstorms.
With the support of FAW’s spare parts consignment warehouse in Algeria, quick parts supply and timely maintenance services are guaranteed, removing operational worries for the project. China Road and Bridge will further deepen strategic cooperation with FAW Jiefang through multiple key overseas projects to achieve win-win development in global markets.
Wang Yan pointed out that facing multiple challenges including tight delivery schedules, a wide variety of vehicle models and strict quality standards, FAW Jiefang overcame all difficulties, fully demonstrating the strength and social responsibility of China’s central state-owned enterprises.
In the future, China Communications Construction Group Materials will further strengthen group procurement cooperation with FAW Jiefang, expand collaboration in vehicle supply and full after-sales services for overseas projects, and jointly set a benchmark for strategic cooperation and global market expansion among central enterprises.
During the event, guests visited the Changchun plant of FAW Jiefang Powertrain Business Unit. They learned about FAW Jiefang’s innovations in smart manufacturing and high-end equipment, and experienced first-hand the excellent adaptability and reliability of Chinese-made vehicles. This further strengthened their confidence in joint global business cooperation.
This batch delivery not only deepens supply and project cooperation, but also serves as an important step for Chinese central enterprises to go global together and support the Belt and Road Initiative.
