FAW Jiefang debuts at SMTP25 International Symposium on Sustainable Transportation, Transportation and Power Systems

 

  From September 4th to 5th, the 20th Symposium on Sustainable Transportation, Transportation and Power Generation (SMTP25: Sustainable Mobility, Transportation and Power Generation) was successfully held in Graz, Austria.With “Talking about a low-carbon future and driving green transformation” as the core topic, this conference brought together global industry experts and leading companies to focus on low-carbon innovative technologies and practical paths in the transportation field, aiming to promote the accelerated transformation of the international automobile industry to a green and sustainable direction.

 

  Dr. Torhof, Verification Director of FAW Jiefang Austria R&D Co., Ltd. (Dr. Thorolf Schatzberger) attended the conference on behalf of FAW Jiefang and delivered a speech entitled "Exploring the Zero-carbon Technology Route of FAW Jiefang Heavy Commercial Vehicles".He started from China's carbon neutrality strategic plan, combined with the current situation of the Chinese truck market and Jiefang's brand  development vision, he systematically expounded FAW Jiefang's exploration and practice on multiple technology paths such as hydrogen internal combustion engines, ammonia-hydrogen fusion engines, fuel cell engines, and star concept trucks in cooperation with Shell, and made scientific predictions on the market prospects of different technology routes.Dr. Tohov's sharing not only presented FAW Jiefang's system layout to meet the zero-carbon challenge, but also demonstrated the technical self-confidence and responsibility of Chinese companies in the global carbon reduction process.

 

  As a leader in the field of commercial vehicles in China, FAW Jiefang has always placed the hydrogen energy strategy in an important position and actively built a green power innovation system. At present, it has achieved a number of breakthrough results.In the field of hydrogen internal combustion engines, 16 key technologies such as ultra-thin rapid combustion and precise lubrication without oil stirring loss have been broken through to achieve both high efficiency and reliability of the assembly; in the field of ammonia internal combustion engines, 13 core problems such as online hydrogen production of ammonia and precise combustion control of hydrogen ignition of ammonia have been overcome to ensure that the system is running efficiently while achieving intrinsically safe; hydrogen fuel cell technology focuses on 11 innovations such as high-power stack integration, high-precision SOC prediction and intelligent anti-skid control, and promotes the assembly to move towards higher power and higher efficiency.
